To never again see on any face a frown
I would dance forever as Indigo the Clown
To help soothe the cries of the daytime screams
Indigo slips on the mask of Blunted Dreamz
Blunty grew up white in the poorest part of the city
Not knowing anything else except hatred and pity
Was it his skin or his face or perhaps his eyes?
What was it about him that let him hear the world’s cries?
Are there anymore of his kind on this earth?
Indigo and Blunty needed to search for his worth
He finally quit trying to run away from the past
No more trying to burn those images away with a blast
At the bottom of life's barrel with nowhere to run
But being as Blunted always is he knew the climb up would be fun
Society wanted him to cover his truth with a mask
But the spirits whispered to him questions he might ask
For whose purpose does it serve to disguise who I am?
Why should I play by societies rules when it treats me like Spam?
The world around me seems to be full of petty hate
Yet others demand that I give them control of my fate?
Not if my life depended on it and it most assuredly does
I wonder if I set my own rules if that would cause a buzz?
Dear mister credit card you can kiss my *ss
I spent all that money on candy bars and grass
I know all you faceless corporations are in dire financial need
But you gotta understand I really like my weed
And if you read the fine print on your contract with me
You would realize you have absolutely no leverage legally
Money loaned against the value I place on this name
As you can see by my lack of shame I won't play this game
It's my world when it involves me and for me it always will
I dance and cavort like a clown just to get a thrill
