Thanks Jai, love haiku, suck at it, but love it. Read Basho and others, there's just something pure about the form. Thanks again :-)

A favourite offered in return for your many kindnesses.
A world of grief and pain
Flowers bloom
Even then-Issa
Ocean tugs at toes
A gull cries
AhMe.

Not really but thank you sir. Sadly the creative process of my life has been; write, read, burn, so little of me survives. Now for a deeply philosophical question.
Don't you think that :)(: looks like 4 pimples on a clenched butt?
How are you ~z?

Writing makes me dysphoric, hence my love for things like haiku that don't protract the labor of writing. There IS a natural feeling of 'burnout' after creative or intellectual effort, which is a sign that something's been accomplished (though it is anything but a pleasant feeling).>

A poor critic? You. Most certainly not.
I'm sorry poetry leaves you feeling that way. Haiku is so pure, bare and elemental, there's no artifice.
It actually took me a long time to realise that I learn by writing. I tend to read and listen and then write and rewrite until I reach my understanding. As for my personal writing: letters that were never sent, words that were never spoken, experiences that could not be expressed, feelings that were never felt - at least that no-one ever knew were felt. I guess in essence they were fragments from the life of a simple man.
Glad your feeling a little better :-)
