Pain in my heart
Pain in my heart but it don't mean
a thing
found out, at last, that he won't be
homecomeing 'cept in a box
yeah, but is was so long ago
but the b.s. keeps coming
M.I.A after so much time it don't mean
a damn thing
but the damn time is what's completely
numbing
I knew him when we'd play touch football
Then too many beers at Stoneybrook
your brain would be humming.
Man, back then we thought it a joke
But, now, Christ, nothing but smoke.
and now there our are kids and grand kids
doing their duty.
I wish I couldn't say so, but it must
be said: there's thing's we must fight
for.
A better life? Freedom from tyranny?
Cheaper gas and oil...you have a right to
name it. But once it's been said
can you stand behind it, despite the
dead.
this is a cruel, mean world, with teeth and
claws, all red. With the blood of
innocents.
And I wish It could be prayed that there's
hope for salvation
there is a better plan
but, may god help us, there's little
better than, turning the other cheek,
But once struck then, beating the hell
out of the offending hand cockeyed
This is the end of the thread.
