Worn smiles on a bare floor board and its hard to say such a great big word
Colour covers the building wall and it won't show its face at all
Soft and breathing you will come the thought turns wicked as the angels run
Smoke stacks hold up the sky and I must see you again before you goYou wander in and out of sight with your hair in a shock of electric light
Figures ???? so sue me I have no guilt
I walk with my feet I eat with my hands
Sometimes I don't understand
Roll another one on the ????? and I must see you again before you goIf I had vision who would I see?
Maybe its you and maybe its me
Drowned gently in a parting wave when you can't tread water anymore
One day I'll kill the killer laugh like hell at being in here
This strength is old and broken I must see you again before you goAnd I must see you again before you go
"Headless Chickens" from the album Stunt Clown. They are a NZ band that were popular all the way back in the 90's. They aren't together anymore. The lead singer started a new band "Strawpeople" - but that has a really different flavour. I like these guys.
:-)
But I can't get all the words and can't find anything online...

alexandra "roll me another one, just like the other one" Don't Bogart that joint my friend some 60's guys, new riders of the purple sage? Don't know and am too lazy to root around in the ruin that is my record collection.
But you made me smile ..."all the way back in the 90's" It's suddenly dawned on me that the nineties were a decade ago when I had gotten my "act" together. What's an NZ? And why do you Canadians [just guessing here 'cause i'm a canadian too...coupla generations back] spell color wrong. just as all english speaking people spell thru wrong. of course I'm making no reference to your-yor-poem [stupid road i started on] you made me think of how much I once loved my wife. Christ it hurt. Still does but differently, now i hurt her without even making an attempt. I guess it's tuff being me but worse being stuck with a maniac as I so often am. Love. Life. something to make a third only i can 't come up with anything but lollipop. Oh well. I can't find the lyrics to a song I love by a group called the students from '58. can play it on guitar but can't remember it. and '58 was just yesterday. so, later, cockeyed.

Yeah I got a shock that the 90's were a little while ago too. One day we will be classic because we were born all the way back in last century.
> What's an NZ?
Well. It is a country. New Zealand. You are probably tempted to call it an island off the coast of Australia if you have heard of it at all - but thats a little like saying Canada is the top part of the US so watchit ok?????
I don't think we spell words wrong. Its just that it is British English rather than American and seeing as we are part of the commonwealth and all... I prefer British English - the 'z' is not in a very convenient location for me to type. Mummy mummy mum. He! Oh dear, I have never seen 'thru' before. Is that really accepted??????
I didn't write it. Its a song they wrote. I like some of their lines. I think it is a beautiful song - but its pretty hard to get hold of their albums nowdays...
I remember when I was young...
he.
have a good day :-)
