am i being creative yet?

Posted by rayww on March 23, 2005, at 11:02:59

passionate emotional people
who cannot break through dead barriors
to real people
often emote on projects and ideas.
when a young miss
marries a man
who takes the place of her dead father,
he becomes dead too
when he makes demands of her.
she rebels
because she does not want to invest valuable emotion
into something that will die.
now we know.
i will crush the dead wall if it kills me.
i used to believe i could
use projects to reach people.
now i know the truth.

another gem in the jar of dead rocks.

It is interesting how you chose to title your thread.

I can't help but feel that this is life, this is truth, for you.

If I'm worng and you've indeed created a poem based on your interpretation of someone else's life, it is quite creative. If it is your life, I hope you understand how amazed I am at your ability to share so much pain and shed so much light in such an emotional evocative way.

That's not only creative, but courageous, too.

<It's not a title, and it's not a poem. It's a release.

If that is a compliment I thank you. It's my style of writing, and I try to express pain exactly how it is in the moment. If I was to wait until tomorrow to post a poem I wrote today, I would have to write a new one, because I wouldn't be feeling the same tomorrow about yesterday's pain.

It's easier not to write
not to feel

obviously, by my next thread, you know I agree...

But it does help me to write it out in some way at the time... I don't know, maybe it's SOME form of stress relief...

I don't feel better, but at least I "did" something besides sit and cry...

I find ALL forms of writing to be creative.

Yours is so absorbing that I find myself in a dark closet in my brain, feeling your words...

Yes, of course that's GREAT writing; you are able to captivate your audience that way.

I just wish for your sake that you didn't have to feel those feelings, and I hope you can, gosh, I don't know, grow past them, accept them and move on, whatever it is we're supposed to be doing with these feelings...

sigh, when I'm not sad at least SOME times I make sense... sorry I'm babbling...

I agree with both of you. I may not be feeling tomorrow what I feel today, although the same feelings always eventually return. One of these days I'm going suprise with an uplifting, happy poem! 'Cuz that person is me too (especially as the sun is out more and more).

I enjoy what both of you write. It is interesting how everyone is quite different, but each person can touch others by exposing their self. There is no bad creative writing if it is sincere.

This is the end of the thread.
