a song

Posted by Phil on September 24, 2004, at 7:13:24

I got caught in a hurricane
In 1972.
The wind was gusting 90 to a 100 mph
Rain was sailing by sideways, too

Water rushing over the little road
It was up to my knees I swear
Buried my old Fairlane to the axle
I tell you now it was scary as **** out there.

God, you gotta get me outta this,
I can barely stand the wind and rain
I'll do anything you say, please hear me pray
I won't ever do nothing this stupid again

Philip...I want to believe that
I really, really do
But I am God and I know your heart
And it's black as the night
You're walking through

Save me a table at the dance hall
I'm walking in to town
A little worse for wear
But I really don't care
Just give me something that'll bring me down

Repeat last verse, or go to next post. : )

Hi Phil:

This song is so appropriate since there are two hurricaines right now. I have a question for you...Was the hurricane the summer of 1972 named Agnes? I seem to remember it hitting the South Carolina coast pretty hard.
