What, what.what.....what is going on?
Are you talking multiple?
Do we have many people?
I love that you feel comfortable sharing this.
You have opened my eyes.
I have the utmost respect for you.
We all have experienced so much.
Can you share more?

I am not sure about that one myself

> Do we have many people?I am afraid of diagnosis. My experience is that diagnosis is a strategy to label people before you say 'not my department - sorry'. We are in a funny half-way land between the post-traumatic model of the American advocates; and good old British denial (oops, I mean the socio-cognitive model where DID is an artifact of therapy so no clinician in their right mind would credit this kind of talk...)
They just came into my life because I was so lonely and afraid and I didn't have anyone to talk to. Sometimes reality and fiction tend to merge; usually its reality that imposes on fiction, but the converse can happen too.
And I miss time and experience them as voices.
Especially when I am out of meds, though the meds aren't terribly effective at stopping them. They are the only ones I know of. That makes 5, so thats probably plenty at any rate. I might just have to take you up on your offer to write more about it. I need to do something to keep on. One day at a time. One moment at a time. Try to take pleasure in the small stuff. I do take pleasure from this site - and its not small stuff, so there may be hope for me. I am just stressing, but I need to hang in there...

Good morning. thank you for responding.
There was an interesting post on psychology a while back. DID was talked about. shadows was one of the posters names. I found it an illuminating respectful series of questions and answers.
I hope you continue to write.
I look forward to the next post.
This is the end of the thread.
