a sword flashes through the air and pierces the guard
weilding vile deadly steel the assassin strikes hard
a mad murderer without conscience or remorse
leaving the proud praetorians with no recourse
but to smite the interloper from his meek mare
vengeful blows now disfiguring a face so fair
comes the doctor with his cares and skill to fuse
laying out the many implements he will usebloody fist to intercept the might of iron
believing in the roar of the vanquished lion
the sceptre of the broken king lies out of reach
the raw open wound satiates the gorging leech
what he wills shall be done under a dark cloud
careful operation scattering slow death's shroud
white wisdom and grey hair, black cloak and borrowed time
candid intervention prevents a morbid crime
This is the end of the thread.
