peom...final cut

Posted by thinkfast on February 25, 2004, at 5:28:06

a wreck
on futile ground
taking stabs at
a fading life
to this sickeness
i am bound

tearing away
uncontrollably
the fear resides
in my living work
of non-fiction
resurrecting
a brutal
senseless addiction

forced distorted vision
breathing with conscience
the pain is more real
so i'm torn
denied to heal

marks of uncertainty
left to straggle behind
attempts at attention
the wounding kind

i'm so pathetic
sick of my sight
pity myself no more
and succomb tonight

Dear friend, it's good...it's good (nm)

I truly admire your work. I think we must be in a similar space.

Are you in any way related to Summer Sanders (http://summersanders.blogeasy.com), the olympic swimmer?
