The thunder crashes loudly
As I lie in my bed,Dozens of thoughts
Swim around in my head.I think I hear a noise
It could have been a knock,I run for the door
And undo the lock.I close my eyes
Because there’s nothing but the rain,Consequently I remember
The unforgotten pain.I wake this way
Almost every single night,Needing, and wanting
And longing for the light.I survive in the darkness
With the help of no one,I need that life of light
So the darkness, I can shun. Not able to back out now
And afraid to fall apart,A shocking sense of horror
Stunning my pounding heart.Intimidated by my thoughts
As I pace back to my bed,I will wake in the morning
Fearing the darkness
In my head.
This is the end of the thread.
