PLEASE HELP!! I missed 4 years of high school. I am now 18. I have suffered neglect...I got G grades in my GCSEs (apart from getting a D/C grade in English) after I sat my GCSEs....I got no help.my parents didn't help me. What can I do? I'm so scared. How can I fix my education? I live in England. Could I use home Education/tuition as a method of catching up? If so then how could this be arranged? Who do I need to contact?I have worked out that it would take me till I was 23 in order to do this(since it would take me 5 years of tuition in order to catch up....as this is how much school I missed)
What can I do? I'm scared that I'll go mad unless this gets sorted out soon. How is home Education ussually organised?please please can anyone offer me any advice/help??

Try contacting your local college.. Most do GCSE's.. and also your local adult education people will be able to tell you about GCSE's running at evening classes..
try http://www.hotcourses.com/
I know the school I went to had an adult education wing attached to it, where adults could study - my mum went and did 6 GCSE's there part time over years.
It won't take 5 years to catch up at all.. you could probably do 6 GCSE's in a year no problem as you already have all the basics there.. You won't need to start from the very beginning and do every part of school you missed.
Also, you local Citizens Advice Bureau (http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk) would be able to give you much more advice on fuding etc.. and will know your area alot better than anyone here..
Good luck. It can be done.. I have a few friends who for various reasons didn't get any GCSE's or O Levels.. and they have done really well with their lives, and one now has a degree, and was older than you when they started gaining GCSE's again..
