Beginning to rethink dropping hours

Posted by Dinah on July 17, 2006, at 17:50:48

I think I am right to drop some work so that I have a better shot of getting the work I have done in a timely and effective manner. But I think if I do that working the hours I work wouldn't actually be so bad - and I could keep my benefits. I don't work full time as it is, more like 25 hours a week.

But I'm not sure if I'm feeling this way because I'm feeling good. If I start to feel bad again, will this be too much for me? Or can I manage this workload as long as I have regular therapy?

Amazing how things can change

I was feeling pretty good about catching up on things I hadn't had time to get to because of my big problem. Then one series of comments from one of my bosses sent me into the sleepiness I get when I'm overwhelmed, and that makes it hard to work.

I don't know what they expect from me. They ask if they can help, but when I tell them yes, and how, it never gets done.

I gave something very important to one of my bosses with an explanation of what had to be done and why, and the reason I just couldn't do it. He said he'd do it, but he didn't.

So again I feel overwhelmed.

Chuckle. I meant big project, not big problem. What a Freudian slip. :)
