And I'm rather angry!
Turning a profit is one thing; practicing unadulterated greed is another. Turning your nose up at a customer when he walks in because he doesn't look like he has tons of money to spend is appalling. Discussing employees with other employees is unprofessional.
I absolutely loved my job and customers. I found a purpose there and I also found a lot of sanity. I was respected by my co-workers, contractors and customers, and I did a really good job, dangit!
Anybody need a decorator?

I'm sorry you had to quit a job you enjoyed because of the atmosphere. Is there a way to do the job without the negatives? Are there other more pleasant places to do it? Can you go out on your own?
