I've been on 200mg of Zoloft for the past 2 years. As in the past, I've recently run into SRRI poop out with this med.
My pdoc wrote me an Rx for Lexapro and advised me to taper down to 50 mg of Zoloft and then introduce 5 mg of Lexapro. Over the past 3 weeks, I've weened myself down to the 50mg of Zoloft, but I'm scared to start the Lexapro for fear of serotonin syndrome.
Has anyone had any experience going from Zoloft to Lexapro? If so, would you please share the details of how you made the transition?

> Thanks!Sorry to get to your post so late as I have just started posting again. You've probably made the transition by now. I've done the same thing with no problems. It was an effective AD but I suffer from poop out syndrome from them all. I hope it continues to work well and long for you

I have cross tapered these two meds, in both directions. My doses were lower though. Zoloft was 25mg. Lexapro was 10mg.
If in doubt, you could start with 2.5mg lexapro. Just cut the pill in half. Once the lexapro is introduced, at even a tiny dose, you should be able to drop the zoloft down easier and faster.
