Hi, I have been very gradually weaning myself off Efexor after having been on it for about five years. I'm doing this by gradually cutting down the amount (undoing the capsule and shaking some out) and using Inositol which is an amino acid. I only take about half the recommended dose of Inositol as I find it makes me sleepy. I'm now down from 150mg of Efexor to about 40mg without having suffered any withdrawal effects. When I've tried in the past without the Inositol I've become very ill - flu like symptoms for a week or more and of course worse depression.
This is the end of the thread.
