I'm pissed at Eli Lilly. I think this drug should be pulled off the market. I didn't last 2 months on it and came off gradually and still having terrible w. effects. What's this weird head feeling/dizziness whenever I move or stand up - are those the "brain zaps"?
It turned me into an emotionless zombie. I should have switched doctors sooner and gotten right off it. It also must have slowed my metabolism to a crawl b/c of the weight I gained and now off it for this week and weight doesn't want to seem to budge.
Anyone else gain weight from it and able to get it off later?
Thanks and good luck to all going through this.

Yes, those are the brain zaps. Look though this site under "Withdrawal" for all listings of Cymbalta withdrawal and read them. They all have information on how to alleviate the symptoms, as you CAN'T make them stop. And dropping off at 7.5MG is not any better than at 30MG. It took me 2 months to get the garbage out of my system and back to a normal life. I'm now working full time (was a stay at home mom).
As for weight, relax and stop worrying about it for now (yeah right). Get the drug out of your system, THEN get life back to normal. With me working, I'm now standing/walking 8 hours a day, and I expect my metabolism to pick up over the next month. But you need the 2+ months of working the drug out of your system.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info.
So, those were the brain zaps everyone talks about. Yesterday was my first day with none but a few occured today.
I will be patient with the weight loss. I'm doing everything I can to detox this awful drug out of my system as quickly as possible.
Glad you are doing much better now Cymbalta free.
This is the end of the thread.
