How should one taper off of 40 mg. of Parnate per day. I took 30 mg. today. Can I do 20 mg. tomorrow and 10 mg. the next day and then just stop. Or will I have problems?

Hi,
IMHO that fast of titration off of Parnate is way to fast.

Sorry; I hit the wrong button. I am doing okay except some "runs" which I have taken care of. Years ago I went off of Parnate cold turkey (30 mg.) and did not have any problems. I think I will be okay. Thanks for your response.

I quit Parnate cold turkey a few times from 80-120mg and felt flat and empty for most of the next week. I'd only been taking it for a short while though. The titration rate should probably be something like a 10mg reduction every week, faster than that and you'll probably get withdrawal symptoms.
