When I quit lunesta, I was on it for 3 months i had some problems.
Lot's of interrupted sleep the first two nights and lots of dreaming. Lunesta made me bolt awake at 4 or 5 AM. It was a very strange drug. I didn't like it at all. Made OCD symptoms worse too.

For several weeks I've gotten down to 1 mg for approximately 4-5 dys/week and 2 mg for 2-3 days.
I do sleep less well when decreasing the dose, but I can't tell if I'm having withdrawal anxiety. Sometimes I'm quite anxious, and sometimes quite calm. Then again this was the same when I was steady at 2 mg. The anxiety could be due to lunesta withdrawal or current stressors in my life. It's hard to say. My guess is a little of both. I plan to be off the lunesta within 2 months. Good luck to you. Peace...Saturn.

I've also added fish oil at about the same time of reducing lunesta, which has often tended toward anxiety for me.

I just ran out of fish oil and am not planning on getting any more cause I think you're right and am on lunesta 3mg but not planning on going off as just started it with valium which I cut down by 5mg out of 20 first night and .5 of xanax. Love Phillipa
