Any tips on stopping 10 years of zyprexa?
It was originally added to augment prozac. It never worked that well but it did give me good sleep. (and now 10 years later a ton of new antipsychotic induced problems) I think doctors grossly underestimate the seriousness of antipsychotic-induced complications and antipsychotic withdrawals. Several psychiatrists have been fairly useless.
Most of it was 5mg. I've been at 2.5mg for a couple months. I know from a previous try that the last 2.5mg is horrifically difficult, and it ended up being a failed attempt. By best guess is to wean very very slowly by shaving tiny amounts off the tabs. Regardless, I will need something for the fierce anxiety.

Eat small snacks. My biggest problem is my stomack. I can't eat, food repulses me. My best tip for zyprexa withdraw is, smoke pot. Even so its not that good. I'm starting to feel hopless again, 2 days off and I could not eat, stomack hurt, broke down and took a half a pill, 5mg. Now the next day, I already want another half, because my stomack is hurting again. I've also noticed blood sugar is low. I'm not eating enough. I don't think its posible.

Still at half the dose, 5mg. I feel unhappy and sick. Drinking more. Sleep is back to where it used to be. Ie sleeping more than when I first reduced. Don't want to eat, but feel malnurished. Oh and my blood sugar is going back up. Smoking mj to sleep and that is the only time I can eat more than a couple bites. Finding that I feel better for the first couple hours after I get up, untill the abilify and wellbutrin sr kick in. Then anxiety goes up and I want to drink.
Zyprexa or all this?

Now I'm a real picky eater. Nothing tastes good. Bought two chicken sandwitches at BK today and ended up throwing out most of it. I ate the bun and the letuce, but the chicken and tomatoes were so awfull that I couldn't eat them. The samdwitch was fresh too. Food I used to like I don't like anymore. And I only can eat little bits.

Cut down for a little while, till you go nuts, then take the reqular dose for a while till you get normal again. Repeat.
I see no hope.

Sebastian,
No offence intended but imho you are doing it all wrong. Get yourself some 7.5 mg Zyprexa. Then go 7.5 mg for two weeks minimum and then go 5 mg for another 2 weeks minimum and then go 2.5 mg for maybe 3 weeks and then 1.25 mg for maybe 3 weeks and then you may be off it for good if you have been patient and persevering. For sure you are going to suffer if you try to come down too quickly and in too big a steps.
I am coming down from 10 mg. So far it has taken me two months to get down to 2.5 mg. It will take me another one month to get down to zero. My pdoc added in 5 mg Valium to make things easier. After I have got off the Zyprexa I will have to get off the Valium.

Pot was not a good substitute for zyprexa. Paranoia, racing thought during the day, panic attacks, smoking a lot more, drinking a lot more. So back to zyprexa, and already cut a lot of my vices.
