I am still so paranoid after 3 mths

Posted by gingerlyn67 on June 28, 2006, at 13:39:07

It's been at least 3 mths since my Dr took me off of Effexor, and, I am still very paranoid. I feel like nobody likes me and everyone is out to get me. I am wondering if I might need to get on something else. I am real depressed right now because my husband and I are having to file bankrupcty. I need to get a job so bad, but, my self esteem is in the pits. Why am I still so paranoid? I don't understand this. My kids even think it's strange.

Hi gingerlyn,

Did you have issues with paranoia before or when you were on effexor? I would talk to your doctor, I know I'd be wondering if effexor was helping the paranoid thoughts and since you've stopped taking it they're back in full force. In which case another med might help. If it's withdrawal another med might help, too. I had paxil withdrawal when I started effexor XR and it did go away fairly soon.

I didn't have any paranoia before I was taking the Effexor. I just feel like my emotions are so raw since I have come off of it. I am not as emotional persay, but, I do get upset easily. Has anyone else experienced a lot of paranoia after taking the meds, or is it just me?
