I need help finding out how to stop this drug (GEODON). I get migraines every time I take a pill. I would rather have bipolar than a headache

This is kind of weird because geodon works for me, but if you want to get off of a medication just tell your psychiatrist. I was on abilify for a couple of months and was vomitting all the time. I told my psychiatrist about it and he told just to stop taking it cold turkey. But I was on geodon at the same time so I guess that's why he did it. I think in your case you might want to set up an early appointment with your psychiatrist to change medication. They might do slowly, I'm not sure. I don't really know much about bipolar disease, but I do have psychotic depression. I am sure about one thing though, I'd rather have headaches or vomiting in my case than relapse. My main point is to just talk to your psychiatrist.

I just stopped taking it at the advise of my pdoc. Unfortunatly I turned phycotic quickly and ended up sucidal and in the hospital. I had no withdrawal or anything. Good luck and work with your dr to go off it.
