Coming off depakote, feeling a little weird, are there typical withdrawl symptoms for depakote when coming off it (especially a little faster than usual)

Post this on the withdrawal board. Dr. Bob will redirect it there anyway. Get a head start. Fondly, Phillipa

I took only 250mg last night instead of my usual 500mg and today I have felt a bit odd. Mostly increased feeling of jittery fear. And I felt kind of compulsively busy this morning, making phone calls, smoking way too many cigarettes, trying to "get things done." I'm going back to 500 tomorrow ( I just went down for a day to see if the headache might get better).

What kind of weird do you mean? What kind of symptoms are you having?

Did you get headaches from Depakote?

Marsha

My psychiatris swore there were none. Coming off a very large dose after 9 months, I lost my abilty to walk (could not conrol leg movement)
It subsided in a day...but I swear these psychtropic medecines are SOMETIME not worth taking them.
