Positive effexor withdrawal experience

Posted by cubic_me on September 17, 2005, at 11:55:53

I was on between 150-225mg effexor XR for 2 years and decided to come off it 6 months ago as I didn't think it was working. Like lots of people here I got withdrawal effects even if I was only a couple of hours late with a dose, head shocks, sweating, dizziness and nausea. It took me 3 months to come off completely and it wasn't easy at all, lots of withdrawal effects, but splitting the dose to 3 times a day really helped.

I've now been off for 3 months and in the last month I've had no withdrawal symptoms :) It was worth taking it slowly, and I'm really glad to be free of the drug now.

I definetly am heading in that road too. Effexor has made me worse and worse, what a waste of my life, its time to get real and face life not hide from it. I am too scared to stop I really am very very afraid of stopping after seeing all the hell stories around here.
