LARRY what were your withdrawl symtoms? I am coming off it now as it makes me angry around people and just alwways on edge, but it has taken me 2 yrs to realise this. I am currently down to 15mg from 30mg and so far I have only really experienced severe insomnia. I say only because I have tried to come off this stuff twice before without sucess, and would have far worse withdrawl symtoms.

Agitation. Racing mind. The most extreme insomnia. Irritability. And extreme insomnia.

As I am currently experiencing adverse cognitive effects from another med, I am not certain of the others, but the insomnia was brutal.

I strongly urge you to develop an alternate strategy to encourage sleep. Another med?

Insomnia... nausea... kinda the opposite of how it makes you really sleepy and hungry :)

Strong, terrible, mostly physical withdrawal (so bad you don't have the mind to realize the mental), BUT very short-lived;
fortunately, at least with me, this all only lasts about 2 days tops (from the moment of onset of withdrawal symptoms).

Hi Jack, specifically how long did your insomnia last, was it just the 2 days like the rest of your symptoms? I know for a fact that if it wasn't for the insomnia I would already be off this med. I know I can do without this sh*t, for me lamictal has made the killer difference (most of the time)

I am probabily a bit hypo right now. I suppose if the lam was working I wouldn't be, but some of the nice kind hypomania is nice when it comes along, makes a difference it usually the bad kind.

If I was you quantro I would try to come off it with your Dr very very slowly, hopefully your body and mind will gradually get used to being without it, you may need a different med as it doesn't sound like this one is sorking. But deffiantly talk with your Doc. Last time I tried to come off it I went straight from 30 to 15 and in a week I could not cope either. This time I have decreased by a approx 3mg every 2 weeks or when I feel ready too, yet even by decreasing it this slow I still get down for a little while and then I pick up again after a few days. But I have insomnia at the moment but I'm just gonna ride it out hopefully I will get some good sleep soon.
