Has anyone tried to withdraw from PB? What is it that keeps us coming back? Are we addicted? Do we agree the work we do here seems to have purpose? Are we serving the needy self?

I have left PB for months at a time. I always seem to come back when I have a concern about my medication, feel down, or need info for someone else. I always wish I could contribute more but I am one of those who just gets helped by the knowledgeable and sympathetic posters here. Visiting this site is like having a pdoc who actually knows what I am going through.:) So YES, the work done here has purpose. And yes, it can be addicting. Self control is necessary.

I think we serve important purposes for ourselves and each other, but the addiction thing should be considered. If you scroll up the page, you'll see a place to set "anti-addiction" settings. Have you ever used that? You can click on it and scroll down to get some FAQ info about using it.
