He said eight years without a drink was due to my anti-depressant filling that void and said the anti-depressant has stopped working.
He said It would be wise to go group therapy with mental health services...so I'll do that.
Don't want to drink anymore.

Sounds like he had some wise advice. I'll just add my caution that it's rather easy to turn filling a void with drink into a bonafide drinking problem :-(
I do wish I had a comfy group to talk to. I'm going to be trying out a new local women's group this week, and already worrying myself sick that it will be a disappointment. I am my own worst enemy.Slinky, if you ever want to post here about your drinking triggers (that helps me, to figure out what it is that provokes a slip), or babblemail me. Or if you want to email me about it, let me know. Sometimes it helps me most to plan an evening in advance if I know I'm likely to want to nip around to the store for some bottled comfort. Just getting myself out of a particular pattern of behaviour can be all I need to do to get past it.
There really is safety in numbers, particularly where keeping ourselves from drinking is concerned.
