I have been using cocaine for over a year now HEAVILY.. for the past year there has not been a day that went by that I have not put coke in my nose.. whether it's just a couple lines, or 2 grams. I went to a friend of mines house a while back, and she was using as well, I wasnt as bad at that time, but anyway she was picking her nose with tweezers and bobby pins to pick at her nose, when she was trippin out, she said it helps clear her up and so on.... I started doing it, and well....... :( I am totally screwed! I have using tweezers and bobby pins everyday picking at it for about 8 months now, Ill spend hours at a time. I now have the hugest whole in my nose, and I can litterly stick two of my fingers through it. It is all cut and just looks awful. I AM SOOOO SCARED! I don't know what to do? Is there anything I can do? I am scared for my health! My nose hurts badly evryday I cant even sleep , becuase of the pain in my face. It is starting to smell really bad when I breathe... what can I do?

It sounds like you need to get some medical help. Try to avoid putting anything in your nose. If you can't see a doctor, speak to a pharmacist about the irritaion in your nose (over the phone would be easier). I hope you can get some help.

I don't know any cocaine users, but I know that if I were in your situation and couldn't stop myself, While I wasn't using, I would take myself to the Emergency Room and ask someone to help me out. You can get help for this...medically I mean. The best thing would be to go to the ER and ask to speak to someone that can help you with whatever steps you need to take to come clean. If you are worried about your health and what the using has done to you...stop using...I dont mean that to sound harsh or whatever, but using is only going to make things worse for you ...so while you are able to think clearly, go to a walk in or ER and ask for help...That is what they are there for...and your situation to me sounds like the catagory for an emergency...But that is just me.
Goodluck and I hope you feel better soon.

Can you see a doctor? If you can't afford it, a lot of places have free clinics you can go to. It sounds like you really need a professional doctor's help with your nose.

Thank you for responding. I was hoping more information. hehe! But I think I just keep telling myself that its gonna be okay, and I am just keeping myself in denial becuase of it.
I keep putting off going to the doctor becuase I am very imbarassed of myself.
If you look at me, you would not ever suspect it.
I know I need to see a doctor but I am so scared and keep putting it off! I know I need to go. I keep looking at it in the mirror every half hour, and now I am starting to see the bridge of my nose sinking in!

Well, i've never had that experience, so I can't give you any more information. I really think you need to see a doctor. They've seen everything, so try not to be embarrassed.

Absolutely, Doctor and now. Maybe you can have a friend or family member who is supportive of you getting the right treatment accompany you to an appointment.
Then you have 2 pars of ears and two mouths to ask questions and get information.

chantelle,
this sounds really scary.remember that you have your nose for the rest of your life. you may not want to be a cocaine user for the rest of your life.
your young nose needs you to take care of it now, so that it can continue to do its job of breathing and sniffing and making your face look nice.
Go see a doctor. Tell them the truth about what is happening. Take a friend, or a family member, or a teddy bear, but go.
You can do this-- it might be the hardest thing you've done in a long time, but you are doing it for the Chantelle who is 30,37,45,68,93 years old, even if the Chantelle of today is kind of conflicted and ambivalent.

Hello everyone.
Thank you all so much for all of you're responses! They are all very helpful and, well comments that I already know, and that is just well...Commen Sense, right! I know I need to go see a doctor very soon, but I just live in such a small town, that these doctors have probably never seen ANYTHING like this is there life.! Another thing is, I do not want my parents and family members to know anything about this. They think I am just an angel, and would never do this, I respect my parents and I could not hurt them and bring them down with me. Tho I know there would be there 100%. Also, I just want a doctor that is going to be totally confidental and that has seen cases like this.
My nose is hurting more and more everyday, and I keep having these blackouts. I just wish this was a dream and I could wake up and be happy!
This wasnt how it was suppost to be! I used to Model, and figure skate, and just... it hurts me everyday know what I am doing to my body!
ANYWAY,,, here I am blabbing on, thanks again once again for all your great comments, that means alot that you take your time to respond! Thank you as well for not judging me, and putting me down! x0 Thank you

Hi Chantelle.
I'm a cocaine addict, I've been abusing the crap on and off for years, I fortunately have not had the nasal problems you've had. My first thought is what is your cocaine cut with and do you trust who you're getting it off?? We all react differently to chemicals but it's rare cocaine causes so much damage with only one years abuse. The first thing you need to do is STOP TAKING COCAINE, especially the crap you're getting from your dealer!!! It would seem to me it's cut with something nasty. The second thing you need to do is go see your doctor, BTW they are under obligation to keep what you say from any other ears so you don't have to worry about anybody else finding out. I think it's obvious what you need to do, ask for diazepam to help with withdrawals, you're going to be fine, just stop taking cocaine and talk to somebody. Good luck. xxx
