I choose the ignorant route and say that it is because I am Irish. I'll add a shot of avoidant personality and top it off with a twist of defiance. Bottoms up.

Hi, I was drinking a similar amount until just recently. No judgment from me. I will point out that after a while your thought process may be affected. Try cutting back sometimes and make sure you aren't too physically dependent. I had the hardest time physically stopping this time. Dangerous high blood pressure. I also didn't know how much I was muddleheaded. I'm no AA advocate though. (the option is there if I start up again, I don't want to anymore).
I think I'm really just using your thread to announce I'm sober. So no offense to you, just a warning not to get deeper than you want to. Or go ahead and deal with it if that's what you really want.

It's amazing how much beer you can pour through the system, eh?
I do remember when.
Just curious. This self-medicating you're doing. How is it working for you?
I'm still trying to figure out if there was more to learn from my own days.

If you feel you used my thread to announce you're sober, I didn't think anything of it. I welcome anyone to use my thread to do the same.
I am not afraid to open up (whatever, thank goodness no one knows my identity.) As if you couldn't tell, I am not sober. Do I want to be? Not really. Do I wonder if life would be better if I was? Yes. Does it cause problems in my life? Sometimes.
You are welcome to come over to my place and talk about it anytime. Here's the address:

I'll keep an e-beer on ice for ya.

Nice digs.
I got my relapse out of the way thursday and friday. Now I can stop counting, and get on with whatever it is. I'm sure there was some reason I left everything behind and went into two different mental institutions. Maybe If I'd been allowed to stay, I would know what it was.
Mine is a long tale. full of uglification.
Nice to meet you curtmjames k
