I would like to know honestly which drug is more dangerous marijuana or alchohol. i use pot now to feel good, ,although i feel good anyway,(i'm on risperdol, prozac, welbutrin, klonopin). 5 years sober from alchohol this april 26,2006. In my experience alchohol was far more damaging to my health. i was hospitalized 3x's with delerium tremors (you feel like you are dying). i have drunk drove (luckily never hurt anyone, or got a dwi.)marijuana... a dr told me, trying to discourage me, can be laced he said. well so can alchohol. but i guess if you drink a budweiser and keep an eye on your can you can make sure its not laced with anything. i carefully inspect the pot for any white powder, or anything suspicious. i believe pot is good for a variety of ills, anorexia, depression, glucoma, nausea, anxiety, plus many more uses.i have never gotten sick off of pot, never had a hangover from pot, smoke it in the privacy of my home, don't drive when under the influence. i believe it should be legalized in small amounts. i believe its one of the safer "drugs" out there, and the pharmaceutical companies are afraid of it, so they pay off politicians to keep it illegal. So what are everyone elses opinion on alchohol vs marijuana?

Choosing the lesser of two evils is in the eye of the beholder. Just like one man's pain might be another man's pleasure. In my opinion, alcohol and marijuana are equals in their potential to cause harm. I know this is the subject of much debate. If it helps you -- just be very careful!

If it weren't for the fact that it is smoked I'd say marijuana is less harmful. I use it and am thinking about buying or making a vaporizer to minimize the health impact from smoking.
My opinion is that it is addictive. Somewhere between caffeine and nicotine in its potential for addiction. However because it leaves the body so slowly, being fat soluble, it really produces very little if any withdrawal symptoms.

It is between you and your Higher Power to settle these nuances. Whatever you settle on, live it. Don't blur the lines, or you won't know the image.
Interesting topic, for me, right now. I'm a long-time clean and sober man (approx. 9 years), under medical care, now prescribed four difference *classes* of drugs, three of which are very commonly abused.
Lets not forget that Bill and his pals had to make similar distinctions, way back in the misty history of what would become AA.
One thing Bill did leave us with was his wisdom. And in his wisdom, he made clear that the decision you face is as individual as is the character who makes it. Yet simultaneously, it is the very same one which he himself had to face. You stand with him when you address this question. But you stand before only your HP, in making it.
