There have been all kinds of posts about this drug and this is another one.
I have switched to Effexor after gaining 40 pounds on Elavil and indeed seem to feel less bloated and some of the weight may be coming off even tho I have only been on Effexor for 2 weeks.
My problem is itching. Off and on- all over..just in spots and so on. I know this can be a side effect but my question to anyone who has experienced this nightmare..does it end? is there something that eases or stops the itch?
I had no other problem with Elavil other than the weight gain and dont want to have to go back to it. Help..
