i havent been able to stick with it.
is total abstinense a crock?
i never wanted to quit everything...just the ones that were killing me.
now i need recovery from recovery.
you know?

It didn't work for me. I think it's because it's a binary system (either OFF or ON) and I'm analog. Now I'm trying a Buddhist approach - just bought a book about 12 stepping with it.

IMO I like it better than AA. Much much better.
But it is a little too CBT for me.I do say it is worth a shot.

The association between drug high and painful shock could result in one of two things:
1) aversion for drugs
2) attraction to shock.It could go either way...
Ya could end up even worse off...Thats why I found it to be a bit of an odd idea
