how long does it take before the pot won't show up in a drug screen?

It depends on a lot of factors. In the prison were I worked they only did urine samples (and a few times blood tests). For urine samples it varies greatly with a lot of things.

general rule is that the more you smoke (smoking high doses often), the longer it stays in your body. Also, the more body fat, the longer it says. If you are a heavy smoker, it can stay in your body for up to 3-4 months, but then you are a really heavy smoker.

In Norway they only meassure it above a certain level though. Say that there are degrees of 10, and to be "positive" on cannabis you have to pass level 2-3. The doctor said they could also see on the samples whether it was new or old THC (weather the prisoner had just been smoking or whether it was just rests stored in his body).

Cannbis stores in your fat, an dthat makes it tricky. Someone who used to be a heavy smoker, that quit, might after 2 months show negative results. Then the person exercise heavy, and the fat is "used", and then the THC is released from the body again, and the bloodsamples might turn out positive, even though th eperson hasn't been smoking!

The prisoners in the prison I worked in used to drink litres of water after smoking, trying to flush it out. I don't know whether it works, but lets say it's a month untill you take your sample, if you then do some heavy exercise daily for a while and drink loads of water at the same time, you should be able to get it out of your body. But I don't want to recommend it, since I don't have a clue whether it works, and whether it really is healthy for you.

Don''t worry, I don't think it will show on the samples 1,5 months after, unless you smoked several times a day every day.

BUT: I also read someone saying something about hair samples. This is not a regular way of doing drugstests in Norway, at least not on cannabis. But we do it on amphetamine users, since amphetamine tends to be out of the body within two days while cannabis stay a lot longer. And according to the doc in the prison it stays in your hair more or less untill you cut it off (all depending on whether they check recently grown out hair or the whole hair fibre, including the "old" end of it).

All this information is secondhand, I have not been checking it up, just been told it. It has never been an issue for me, so I haven't bothered about finding out. So PLEASE excuse me if I gave any wrong information here. You might be able to find more information on the subject here:
