my history is long and boring so i wont go there but right now im dealing with cancer and chemo and depression, but any way i take ativan and them ambein to sleep and im truley afaid that i am adicted to the ativan and ambien but right now the doc are not worried about that they are more concered with the cancer i also take vicodine, and also like those a bit to much but i am in alot of pain so they do help. ant sugestions???

I would say that your doctor is correct in not worrying about ambien and ativan while your body is fighting cancer. These drugs are allowing you to get through your present situation. When you have your cancer treatment behind you, you'll have plenty of time to address any addiction issues you might still have.

If you are sensitive to meds in general. Just 3 months ago I more than halved my xanax dose and I was surprised to feel just kind of crummy for a few days. Also I just tapered and stopped my effexor in 2 weeks, which stunned me. (I was starting a different antidepressant.) Everyone reacts differently, but if you anticipate a difficult detox, that's what detox programs are for. You'll be OK.

sorry its been a little bit since ive been on had alot of illness due to treatments but thank you very much, was in hospital for thanksgiving but family was there so thats all that matters.
