It seems you and I have some of the same withdrawal symptoms. Burning, derealization etc.
Can you tell me how much Klonopin you were on and how long? What else do you take? What does your Doctor say?
Mine tells me this can last for 6 mos to forever. I start therapy on Wed on how to deal with it. I really don't want to take it forever but I had to go back on it this week-end I just couldn't even deal with my child. I am only taking 1mg a day just to take the edge off. I went 14 days without it and just about lost my mind.
Anyway tell me your story if you feel like it.

> Anyway tell me your story if you feel like it.Hi, Rianna,
I was on a relatively small dose, .5 mg. for only 6 mos. for insomnia. I am hypersensitive to everything it seems. After 2 mos. on Klonopin I started to feel like I was going to fall over. I did not know at the time that injury and accidents can happen with Klonopin. Finally, after being on it about 2½ months, I had the big accident, fell on a concrete floor and broke both elbows and sustained other injuries. It took about 3 more months before I learned the connection to Klonopin and the accident. Once I made the connection and talked to a doctor, he told me to go off cold turkey. I started acting weird after about 50 hours, but didn't realize it was Klonopin withdrawal, as I was still on alot of pain meds from the accident. That is when I found the Pyscho-Babble board and learned about withdrawal! I went back on .25 for a week or two (don't remember which now), then down to .125 for a week, then started the slow withdraw of dropping one tiny dose per week. I am now at the point where I will go 4 days without the drug this week. At this point the dose is so small I am most likely not affected much anymore. Probably the worst of the withdraw was with the dose changes, and first weeks of dropping off days. In my case, the effects of the Klonopin were so dramatic even though my dose was small, that I must get off it no matter what it takes. With other medications such as SSRIs, I always have to do a longer slower withdraw than the doctors expect, but it is just something I know about myself. I feel I am coming out of the glassed in feeling, and the burning, etc., is not too intense anymore. Eye pain continues. If you want to give it up, you might try the super slow withdraw and hang with it. The doctor did tell me to expect times where I continue to feel the withdrawal, but just to tough it out. I wish you the best of luck. Counseling is a great idea. I am getting that now, too.

Wow you did have some reaction. I never really had falls but got very dizzy and i would just sit down. The withdrawal can sneak back up like you said. My Doctor told me this yesterday and I went back today for medication evaluation. I am now going to try Lexapro.
Anyway good luck to you too and thanks for your support. This really is a great place to get support. You seem to really care about the others here.
Thanks again.

> RiannaThank you for your kind words and also asking your doctor about the burning I had mentioned. All is better now. Hope things are going better for you, too.
