I have just been prescribed Wellbutrin Sr (Zyban)to help me stop smoking. After reading about Wellbutrin I am confused about the limitations of alcohol consumption.
I party a couple times a week and drink quite a bit on each occasion. So, am I to stop that completely before I start taking the Wellbutrin, if so, for how long before? The warnings talk about "aburpt cessation of drinking" also possibly causing problems.
How much, if any, alcohol can one drink while taking Wellbutrin?
If I'm posting in the wrong place, sorry!

Generaly a few. The most I drink on Wellbutrin SR is about 5-6, not often. Usualy about 2, not every day.
If you have ever had a seizure before make sure the prescribing doctor knew this before taking the Wellbutrin. And that you were a partly heavy drinker. Just how your drinking habits are. Like you said here.
Just be carefull. Probably the first time you should only have a few and not drive.
