it is (in some sense) too easy to criticise.
it is (in some sense) much harder to offer productive solutions in real time.
i understand that.
but it is a continual frustration to me that people will not listen to my offer of productive solution in real time.
and that leads me to be only more scathing with my retrospective critique.how it should have gone.
there should have been a tv ad campaign backed up by various other forms of media. billboards etc.

that's what we call the real role models.
the real people. the real reasons why.
even if they are a composisite conveying the ideology.
convey the ideology, then.
do that then.
it isn't 'role modelling' when you have people taking their vaccine ahead of their time. it is role modelling that you have people who think they are above the law. who actually are above the law. since we don't prosecute law violations in nz. and that: is a really really really really really really bad look. you couldn't have conveyed a worse one. our leaders taking because they can. you couldn't have conveyed a worse one.
ashley hasn't had a vaccine (yeah right) he'll be about due for his booster.

the ideology of aiming or aspiring to be top of the hierarchy where you take what you can for your own personal advantage at the expense of everyone else...
what would those people choose for themselves?
then everybody wants that.
that was their ideology.
that they presented to the world.
that was the supposed justification.
the justification as to why the whole country was supposed to find it motivating and inspiring that chris hipkins and ayesha and the prime minister etc etc publically were vaccinated - ahead of when they were supposed to be according to their prority group (based on age and clinical risk -- that was a clinically decided priority based on risk -- right??)
they were supposed to be motivating and inspiring.
nobody in the country would get vaccines unless... they grubbity grub grubbed them first.
that was the ideal?

where the quality of information is constantly degraded (or lied to) in some manner of 'what is best for me' by people who don't have my interests in mind at all (who only have their own personal interests in mind at the expense of me)

the nzl government...
had a bunch of duck-billed n95 masks...
in storage...
for quite some time. quite the number of years.
and they are effective. if you can achieve a fit-test with them.
and they expire... likely that is what the number on the mask means.
so the N95 masks that i purchased from governent supplies . com (not kidding) that have 2012 written on them... HELP IT 2012 more specifically... were sort of guaranteeing their effectiveness. for people who could achieve a fit test by 2012.
but now it is 2021. and they are selling them to the public... because they have expired.
and also becuase their staff cannot mostly achieve a fit test with that style of mask.
let's be honest.
for a change.
let's aspire to be good (rather than clever)
but clever ways of forcing good are alway always always appreeciated (don't get me wrong). clever in service of good is admirable. most truely. another virtue...

i'm under no illusions...
i'm 40+ without any claim to the suburbs.
the government doesn't provide enough funds for me to run a motorbike or car out of the city. i have no residential claim to suburbs of auckland.
so i book a vaccine in teh central city. in the 40+ age bracket.
which of course means i am 'most expendible' or 'least valuable'.
right?
right?

what they are doing is opening up eligibility for the next group before the people of the previous group could even book their places.
so...
Group 1 was high risk people and various people who though they were above the law. border workers. and people sitting on various boards of health agencies.
and then Group 2..
And the issue was that the people sitting on various boards of health agencies grubbity grub grub grubbed up all the vaccines and then they started booking vaccinations for people from Group 2. Where group 2 was again a aggulmeration of people who should have them -- and people who took them instead.
And so on, down the chain.
Now they are vaccinating the kids of the elite whites... And they haven't ALLOWED the people who wanted them to have them from Group 1, even.
They don't have the signed informed consent forms. The forms signed and dated with when the people wanted to have their vaccines.
They just offered them booking times...
The day vaccines were opened for my group (over 40) they annouced vaccines were available to 12+ age bracket. Within 30 minutes of opening vaccines to over 40 a couple teenagers had their shots already.
That is to say the government is prioritising booking times for...
Well..
Actually what is happening is that they are giving doses to people who haven't booked, at all.
You should see how they choose to distribute organ 'donations'. I would imagine. Since that's their general attitude.
