I will probably have had surgery for cancer before my divorce gets to court. I honestly don't give a toss; it's always been about him and his desires.
I don't want to die before it's over.

(My layman opinion only).
Please do not compromise your health. Please do not forfeit your life. Speaking only for myself, I want to see you here for many, many more years.

The timing is terrible. Surgery will likely coincide with the court date. I'm angry, but I don't know what or who at.
Oh, and my therapist hasn't called me back.
Damn.

What about having your lawyer petition the magistrate to move the court date? You certainly have a valid reason.

I understand that for sure.

I'll be OK, no matter what.
Thanks, Scott.

Yeah, I just found out. Getting a biopsy to confirm, then a radical hysterectomy. The divorce may have to wait a tic.

Very true! I've successfully placed any worry in a desert, dried it to dust, and put it in a locked box. Now I don't have to do anything about it.

Very smart move. Don't let your soon to be Ex make you weak- stay strong.
An extra hard cyber slap to your almost Ex's head even though he has nothing to do with your cancer, he just deserves one.

I'm concerned for you with two huge stressors at once. Concerned but not worried. You're pretty tough and that dark sense of humor serves you well. My mantra in difficult times is, oh well, f*ck it. It has always worked for me. It's not perfect but it's close.

And I guess my mantra would be, "what are you going to do about it?" If the answer is Nothing, then I try not waste energy on this?
Sometimes it even works.

Won't know until surgery. Hopefully this is just a precancerous condition, and taking out all the working (or no longer needed) parts does the trick. Still scared as sh*t.
Will keep my friends advised.

Unable to perform the biopsy, argh. My body was not cooperative. Rescheduled for another facility where I will be sedated for the procedure.
But, some quasi good news, my court date is being continued so as I am not stuck in a post-op recovery position and unable to fly across country for the proceedings.
Life sure is interesting, goddamnit.

Yup, life is interesting. Good luck in Court and rescheduling the procedure. I just had my first colonoscopy- what fun it was (cough). I managed to gain weight after the colon cleanse. Seriously I weighed myself the day of the procedure and I was up two pounds.

The lawyer is going ahead with a request for continuation. I feel exhausted, and in a lot of pain. Enough, already. And I may be depressed. Perhaps. Yeah, well, definitely.
This is the end of the thread.
