Gratitude

Posted by Angela2 on May 27, 2015, at 18:26:41

Hello! Today I have been feeling very up in the air, and not grounded. There has been somethings on my mind. Anyway, here's my list of things I am grateful for today:

1. It was nice to see peoples kind responses to my above post here. It felt really good to see that people were happy to hear from me. joy joy joy. :)

2. I finished up a project I was working on in my art class today. It felt good to be done with it, and I also like the sway it turned out.

3. I was watching a video on courage. It's an interview of someone who practices it in their life daily. Not always somethings that are huger than life. Daily stuff. And this inspired me. Has anyone ever heard of Kate Courageous?

4. I had a mint milkshake today. It probably wasn't good for me, but it sure did taste good.

5. I have been stressing out today about whether I will go back to the support group I have gone to a couple times. I think it's great, but I have a lot of doubts about whether I want to be there. I think I soak up negative energy easily. Anyway, I am grateful for the positive experience I've had there, and I'm grateful that I am in choice. I don't have to go back if I don't want to. And I can always change my mind.

6. I am getting along better with my therapist. we weren't not getting along before, but I am connecting a lot better with her now. Also, I have a life coach. I am so grateful of her. She is really good, in my opinion, and she lets me pay on a sliding scale which I truly appreciate right now.

7. I am grateful for my disability payments. I wouldn't be able to make it otherwise. I would like to find a job though. I think it would help me financially and emotionally.

8. I'm listening to Iron and Wine right now on Spotify. Kind of just what I need right now.

I *always* make sure to read your posts. I like them a lot. I'll bet you sell yourself short on how much positive regard posters have for you here :-)

You give me the impression of a woman anyone would be blessed to have as a friend.

Groups are weird - good and bad aspects. I need to get into one for ADD, but am too lazy/anxious to take the steps to do it. I was in a great one for depression/anxiety 11-12 years back and although it was stressful at times, mostly not. Mostly really useful. The therapists leading them make all the difference, IMO.

I will try, try to post some gratitude things, too. No promises, but I will try.

Glad you come back sometimes since Babble is a bit of a wasteland these days...

Aw. I know how you feel. I feel happy that a few people have popped out of the woodwork lately, too.

Maybe Bob will turn up again at some point...

It will be like a family reunion (but better) ha.

No, I haven't. But the other day in health systems... The lecturer started with showing us a little bit of a youtube clip from the wizard of oz. The scarecrow singing about how he wished he had a brain... And then he said something about.... The other ones... A heart... A nerve (haha)... A way home... Anyway... I've been thinking about that, since. What moral there was in the Wizard of Oz... Not sure that I've seen that, actually. Just know of bits from pop culture.

> I had a mint milkshake today. It probably wasn't good for me, but it sure did taste good.

I don't think I've ever had a mint milkshake. Only caramel and chocolate... Mint milk... Really?

It's really hot out here! I hope everyone is staying cool, or warm, or whatever, depending on where you live. We have the AC on and it feels great.

Gratitude today:

1. I woke up at like 2 am and didn't go back to sleep until around 5 am. But during this time I was very productive, lol. I drew in my sketchbook, I googled stuff and read articles, and I watched Saturday Night Live on VH1. Haha. I'm kind of grateful for this little capsule of time. It was fun, and I was able to go back to sleep afterward.

2. I am taking a class this summer that starts in June. I'm really excited for it, and I'm taking steps to move forward. I'm looking at going to school at a community college near my parents house.

3. My cat. She's so cute and awesome. and old and funny. Love her.

4. I ate a healthy lunch today. Salmon and a spinach salad. So now I feel very healthy and I feel like I want to keep eating healthy.

I've been listening to lots of music, the new Royksop right now.

Reading on my kindle. I finally tried an e-reader and find I really enjoy it.

My kid's last week of school and the lovely quintessential early summer weather feels both fresh and reminiscent. Glimpses of my younger self before a decade lost to MI.

My good friend whom I've been seeing a lot lately.

My first two hives of bees!
