I wish things would be different

Posted by Lamdage22 on September 11, 2014, at 10:07:08

I hang out here, not living life anywhere near where i would like to be. I am wasting my time.. Waiting for a cure.

Am i the only one?

I kind of carry on not expecting a cure, because brain science is so poorly understood. I do the best I can with what I have. When I stumble or feel rough, I give myself permission to take a break. I've found that resisting my mental illnesses results in physical symptoms that are annoying, potentially equally disabling, and counter intuitive.

So I guess I give myself a break, and am thankful for what my meds are able to do for me. The only miracle breakthrough might come from how I deal with life in general, and I am a long way away from "winning" there.

They are making progress though. Nmda functioning and neurogenesis.

I was once cured on Nardil and Wellbutrin and a bunch of supplements. But i didn't have psychosis yet at that point.

Life was so awesome!

Life can be awesome without illness.(but not necessarily). Life can be o.k. with one if it's possible to work with attitudes and beliefs.(at least in my experience). However, I do think needing to take an antipsychotic may be difficult because the side effects can weigh one down.

But you are not the only :(

I deal with what I guess has become a chronic fatigue which affects every day. When I remember life when I felt good, I feel sad or angry or both, etc.
