Yes, he was. Queen's stuff still stops me in my tracks and mesmerizes me, mostly because of that voice.
Incredible, crazy, wild, vulnerable, dangerous, sweet, sick, sick amount of talent, beautiful, confused, powerful, childish, childlike, brilliant, complex, simple....
I could go on and on.
RIP, FM. A huge wound was left in the heart of music when you left too soon. Thank God for technology so at least we can still watch and listen.

that video is from live aid '85. since every top band in the world was there Queen wasn't expected to be more than just a good band. brian said that freddie had a way of making the people with the worst seats feel a part of the show.
freddie didn't have the first three rows clapping along he had the whole stadium doing it.
this wasn't a queen crowd people were there to see other bands too. they all drove home talking about Queen.
the set they did has been called 'the 20 minutes that changed rock and roll.'
oh, someone said that before they went on they were having very loud disagreements backstage. they were pissed. pissed but pro's.
This is the end of the thread.
