The overwhelming support from complete strangers is quite beautiful and validating.
I don't have to worry about where to go, or when. What a relief.

That's a really good start, and I commend you for getting right to it! Having your own home base, on your own terms, is a foundation for the future. Make it nice and comfortable, a haven for PC's peace.

I hope it's the start of a great adventure. Sorry it came from sad circumstances.

Thanks, everyone. My sister noticed a strength in my voice that has been missing up until now. I have never found and had my own place. (Kind of pathetic, but I will try to gloss it over.) Power will be turned on tomorrow, and I will be able to move in (ha! No furniture! Let's call it urban camping!) tomorrow night if necessary. I have no idea what my spouse's reaction will be upon coming home tomorrow. Don't want to speculate.
Being unhappy for so long really has contributed to my run down state. I hope that being on my own allows me to improve. Again, I won't speculate on the rate.
You are all so supportive. I am so grateful. Cyber group hug if allowed.PC

That is wonderful!
Great to hear that you have good supports where you are, too. I know what you mean about keeping family at arms length. Having friends who don't get on particularly with ones spouse can certainly help the transition be a lot easier. Really hard for people who break up who only have couple-friends.

So amazing! A step forward. Maybe, as you step by step gain some sense of control, your mood will improve also. Congratulations. Whenever my husband and I fight, my major worry (his too) is losing our home.
