Dammit

Not again. 20 miles down the road from me.

I get so angry when these shootings happen...all compassion goes right out the window...hatred fills the space....ironic and unhelpful, I know....

Please tortured people, LEAVE INNOCENT PEOPLE ALONE. STOP SHOOTING AROUND BABIES AND CHILDREN.

Just stop it. Please.

things like this have happened over, and their going to happen again, there's nothing really can do about it...report strange people, write news in the papers, and crime watch societies, these people know what their going to do and have made a choice to compromise rationality...to get a release from their mind, usally pain, or hate....or envy...

gotta learn how their minds think and predict what events may come.....but its not done that much....

im sorry you had to read this 10enderheart...just let it go...there's a good relief that it didnt happen to close people. But seriously they need to make a whole federal branch taking care of random terror events like these.

The arguments regarding the "right to bear arms" are not so straight forward.

Just a thought...

If the sale and ownership of fire arms would be limited to a "well regulated militia" as is prescribed in the second ammendment to the US Constitution, perhaps fewer of these events would occur. What is a "well regulated militia"? I am not sure. However, I am sure of what it is not.

I hate to take guns out of the hands of responsible users, but how do you take guns out of the hands of irresponsible users?

"I hate to take guns out of the hands of responsible users, but how do you take guns out of the hands of irresponsible users?"

there are laws...i think its known that felonies charged on people...they can't get a gun, and of course there's other condition for other things...but if you think...guns are used for...
1) hunting
2) sports
3) self defense
there not not sold to go out in public and shoot....but it happens anyways...also the blackmarket is used for htis too....but if you think some of these people are not criminals, or have a low history on record. And they just make up in their mind there mad, and resent, and filled with hate....and they go on their terror spree. Some criminals are smart enough to know this will result in prison/death sentence. But i'm not a socioloist/psychology major...its just what kinda my 2 cents of seeing this over again.

but that's what im saying, we have no idea whos hands get a hold of firearms, even if they don't have a record, so really its hard to keep it out of bad hands that plan events like this. But....if you look ove the years of these shootings all the way back to the early 20th cent.

goverment is active on this, but some people know how to act normal and still do their plans...

Stolen firearms are all over being sold to those that use them for horror stuff like this. I doubt there is a way to stop it. Like prohibition people still had their alchohol. Illegeal distilleries. I have a horrible feeling it will get worse before it gets better. Frantic people, those with undiagnosed and treated severe illnesses, no jobs, no money, society is desperate and unfortunately the innocent suffer. Phillipa

What if the Democrats were to draft legislation to ban the sale of all firearms without exception; the only well regulated militia to be the US Military? Perhaps the Republicans (NRA) would fear its passage enough to finally help to come up with a solution to gun murder by offering their own legislation. It would be an interesting political ploy. I doubt such a bill proposed by the Democrats would pass in the House of Representatives. However, it might influence mid-term elections.

I don't know what the answer is. There is too great a pool of existing firearms to be able to remove them from society expeditiously. The laws in Britain seem to work, though. You need to start somewhere. To do nothing is to admit defeat before even trying.

Oh, yeah. Then there is the Supreme Court...

As someone just wrote whos Brothers are policemen criminals will always find ways to get guns. Latest is the 20 year old's Mother had a large collection of guns, took the Son shooting. He killed his Mother first. Then the school. Last I looked his Dad & Mom were divorced with the Mom requesting it and Dad paying $250,000 to wife a year with a rise to $298.000 in 2014. Dad is in Stamford where I moved from last to Virginia Beach. Seems the son had a form of asperger"s. Could have changed by now since just home. Phillipa
