$1.6 billion is a drop in the bucket for Abbott, whose revenues in 2010 alone were $35 billion. And the government gets a bunch of cash, which who knows what will become of, and the cycle continues. Settlements such as this one are but another cost of doing business for the likes of Abbott.

On meds board just says meds were approved for one thing and to make money being promoted for other uses so why not use cancer meds for other conditions then. Oh wait they have reclast infusions for osteoporosis. Many deaths from it also. Just one example. Phillipa

I would have loved a $15B settlement. Probably wouldn't have made it but these people are Al Capone and Madoff all in one. You have to take their money away because they don't understand anything else.
This was bad stuff they were doing to patients and when it could kill someone, I mean come on.
Politicians are flush with drug money just like the cartels.
