Hi fb,
How are you?

I've got nothing to share right now.
I've got a lovely little app on my phone right now though. It's called "stumbleupon".
You might like it if you like to find curious stuff on the internet.

Hold on...let me see if I can share a discovery. ;-)

This talk about Aps makes me so nervous. More stuff I will never be calm enough to understand. I have used a mobile phone and I understand the outline of digital logic. The time before last I used one I didn't know how to turn it off, not that it mattered, since the longer it was on the sooner it would run out of batteries. (They do have batteries, or at least a battery, I'm sure.) I stopped answering the LANDLINE. Why not do without that too? They catch you at a vulnerable time and before you know it you are on their list forever. I have been sick. I mean physically sick. Now people here are talking about Kindles, which makes me restless. But could I get a cheap subscription to the New York Review of Books or Harpers on one?

>I have used a mobile phone and I understand the outline of digital logic.

I have even used to remote. You know we have 3 remotes? Two are a foot long and are identical almost and have 47 buttons on each. Then there is one for the thing that sends the signal from the disc. Who needs 47 options for choices when there is nothing on TV? But we have it twice. I have never understood why.

Oh, SG, that was good. The effect was cumulative, though I had my favorites.

Funny, my husband gave me a new phone a few days ago. Today I had to learn how to use it. He said 'your love and acceptance of new technologies is amazing,' meaning, as my son likes to say, 'A.K.A. not really.'

But it's really sleek and has nice sounds. The first thing I did was customize the color settings and sounds :)

Oh, and this. My husband hands me this wad of papers and the box that the phone came in. On top is a very thick pamphlet entitled, "Mastering Your Device".

I am between so-so to substandard today.

How are you doing?

FB speaking for Sigi I think he means he can't handle all these new devises same as me too much to learn and we never really needed this new stuff. And now he heard of kindles and that upset him more another devise. Sigi I have a Nook. It's not hard to use. Love Phillipa

I don't know about cheap. But the subscriptions seem to be available on Amazon and Amazon-uk. The problem is that sometimes there are licensing restrictions that restrict geographical availability. You'd have to check, I think.

I hope you enjoy it. I know I love mine.
"mastering your device"?? sounds improper somehow ;-)

I'm feeling kind of sad and mixed up today. It's not overwhelming though.

You know it's christmas soon??
I've got a little shopping to do. I'll be making a list soon.

Yes.
You are familiar with the neti pot?

Yes, my husband and have gone round and round about the appropriateness of which sink, and he still does as he pleases. After so many years, what the heck, it's just small change.

Feel better soon.

When I've looked at subscriptions of the NYT online it is not inexpensive. So, yeah, I think you're correct. I have online access to the NYer because I have a hard copy subscription.

Do you have any online subscriptions?

You can look up the New York Review of Books online free. I just did. Is that the same as an online subscription?

Clearly not. I woke up at 2am and tea is useless as always. I should avoid drink. I wish I felt like that at 5pm.
