How do you cope?

Posted by gadchik on December 12, 2011, at 12:38:28

When another poster types their situation, and they sound hopeless, and suicidal;i get to feeling very sad over it.I worry about the poster, and want to give them the perfect words to fix it.Then i think that my words dont mean a thing to them,as they dont know me from adam.

I have responded to many threads where to person was suicidal. Once an old poster and I tracked the person down. Usually try to keep them posting. Phillipa

We never know what our words can mean to someone. Nothing or something precious. I feel I just try my best and come from my heart and mind and try not to say too much (that's a particular problem for me).

I found a song for you.

There are no perfect words, all you can do is "listen" and understand? maybe in some way.

You can't be responsible for another person's life. It's not fair to you. Every person here has to take care of themselves.

What everyone said is so true,I just have to respond and hope they feel at least less alone, and if we all respond then the poster will feel even less alone:)
