Always liked James Patterson short chapters good for before sleep, found Marie Force, And now need another light mystery writer that is interesting and not too scarey. Also like James Parker. His are kind of funny too. Any other favorites? Phillipa

Im into memoirs.I have to read before bed everynight.Right now, Im reading Joan Dideon Blue Lights,and The Year of Magical Thinking. I also loved If You Knew Suzy,Let's Take the Long Way Home,The Long Goodbye.These are all about loss.For some reason,thats what Im reading these days.

I like the old fashioned cozy mysteries. Ellery Queen, Nero Wolfe, Agatha Christie, and to a lesser extent Hercule Poirot. I'm not sure if this was before or after I got a mad crush on Jim Hutton in the Ellery Queen Mysteries.
I also ***love*** the Brother Cadfael mysteries. Two of my favorite genres mixed together.
Of modern authors, I like listening to Jonathan Kellerman. But I'm pretty sure that's because the narrator is so good. And perhaps the references to psychology. He once wrote something about the loss of a therapist that won him a permanent place on my "shelf".

Reminds me of See Jane Run can't remember the Author a pdoc suggested I read it was so great. Read all the books written by this author. Phillipa
