Black Moon
That is for you, fb, when the link doesn't work.
It has a very nice production or arrangement and (is it?) slide guitar.

We put it into the music library today.

Thank you. I love it. I have heard of them, but had not heard them. I'm delighted to have a new band.
There is something in the singer's voice that I find a little Cohenesque in the best way.
I might overturn that with repeated listening. I don't know.
Thanks :-)

Mavis Staples performs three songs from her album produced by Jeff Tweedy.
I finally listened to the new Wilco album. Other than one very rocky song that had me pull my earbuds out suddenly, very nice. My husband loves Wilco.
Black Moon is my favorite track. I think it is just slide guitar.
Ms. Staples certainly has some voice.
Darn, can't think of who did the original of the third song. Man, she is wicked good.

It was almost a toss up. But I like the one I posted a smidge more. I heart the entire album.
Glad you enjoyed it :-)

I fell in love with Mavis Staples when I saw her.
She was so gutsy....this real sense of ethics...nah, not ethics, but morality.....and she sang again and again 'I won't back down and I won't back down'....it was easily the most amazing performance I have had the good fortune to witness.
At the end of all that she needed to sit down for a good while.
