My parents closed on a house w/ a detached apartment over a garage today. I'm so excited! I'm going to be living in the apartment. My parents are going to have some painting and basic stuff done to the house and rent it out.

Thanks, y'all.
The house+apt. are in a city near my parents, so they will be there when I need them or to hang out or whatever. I'm so lucky; I was just telling my new counselor (who's great, by the way) how fortunate I am to have parents who are able and willing to help me until I can help myself. Lots of people with problems of this magnitude end up homeless, in prison, or dead; I get a house. It isn't fair by any means, but I am so happy. I'm blessed, really.
I do think I want to go back to school soon. I'm looking at a Health Information Technology (HIT) program online. Its an associate's program, but in this field you can also get a BS or even a Master's if you feel so inclined. I'd be happy with the associates, but who knows how I'll feel in a couple years.
