Kindle vs Nook

Posted by Phillipa on February 27, 2011, at 16:22:43

I've read a bit about them and thinking of purchasing one to eliminate need for reading glasses and also eliminated a 190.00 eye exam which in the long run will cost more. How hard are they to use compared to simple stuff on a computer? Phillipa

I can only speak for the Kindle, which I adore.

It's designed to be as easy as pie to use.

But even though it has adjustable print, it is no substitution for a thorough eye exam.

Just a reminder. The Nook color is a backlit LCD screen. The plain Nook and the Kindle are e-ink, which is way easier on my tired old eyes, but requires a light for reading in the dark. But not everyone is bothered by a backlit screen.

I love my Kindle.

Dinah thanks do intend to get the exam but add reading glasses gets expensive. Seriously Kindle easy to use and it tired old eyes that need to adjust print size after a while. How do you get now favorite author Robert B Parkers Books uploaded on one. Do you have the least or most expensive one. I noted there are two. One neighbor also has a Sony but her Son uploaded l50 books for her. Thanks for answering I really appreciate it!!!! Phillipa
