Actually, I guess I'm getting ready in my head because I haven't got ANYthing ready! LOL
In June, I tried to have a "Kath's Week Away" at home, because I didn't want to brave the blackflies at Killbear. It did NOT turn out well. There were son-crisis events happening...can't even remember exactly what!
HowEVER, this week, I've gone every day up to a nearby town & there's a lake in the town. I take my chair, my book, a tea & sit on a square dock-jetty right at the water's edge. I love it. I hadn't even thought of it being my delayed K's week away....today I was thinking about do I or do I not feel guilty about this 'laziness'...then i remembered that I'd promised myself to do a delayed K's week away. Also I'm looking at it as 'self-care'.

Kath you got me confused are you taking vacation away from home this coming week or did you just kind of take a pretend week away? Silly question????Love Phillipa

LOL - I guess I can be confusing!!
I'm going away for a week on Saturday.
In June, instead of going on my week away, I thought I'd just set aside a week to not work & to just chill out. But it was hectic, so this week I've been going to the little lake each day & am thinking of it as taking the place of my June week that turned out hectic.

It really is. I love the water.
Yesterday when I went again, a 'gaggle of geese' (lol) glided up to the jetty & hung out for a while! Canada geese. They're so regal. (Make quite a mess on the grass, but I can forgive them.)
